Born from a passion for Canada's waters and a commitment to creating extraordinary experiences that honor our maritime heritage.
Captain Elliot Brown's love affair with Canada's waters began during childhood summers at his grandfather's cottage on Lake Muskoka. Those early experiences instilled in him a deep appreciation for the transformative power of time spent on the water.
After years as a commercial marine captain, Michael recognized that while many charter services focused solely on luxury, few truly understood the emotional connection people form with Canada's magnificent waterways. In 2018, he founded Playenda with a simple mission: to create authentic maritime experiences that honor both our guests and our environment.
"Every voyage should be more than transportation—it should be transformation," Michael often says. This philosophy drives everything we do, from our carefully selected routes to our commitment to sustainable practices.
"The water doesn't just carry our boats—it carries our dreams, our memories, and our connections to something greater than ourselves."— Captain Elliot Brown, Founder
